The Lyric thermostat and app were in the beginning stages of brand development when I was brought on to the HUE team. Honeywell had hired an outside vendor to sketch a brand starting point. I took their strong start and built it up from there.
My strongest contributions to the core elements of the brand were the dot pattern, illustration style, icon language, photography style, background textures, color palette, and the voice (tone of copy) of Lyric.
I also provided guidance on Lyric brand coherence when other divisions within Honeywell began to dip their toes into other marketing channels and brand impression opportunities for the Lyric product line.
